For his return to Formula 1 after his withdrawal from the Hungarian Grand Prix, Felipe Massa cut short his first free practice session. At the finish of the Malmedy corner, the Brazilian driver lost the rear and hit the tire wall.
The pilot Williams was taken to the medical center for routine tests. With the front and rear suspensions completely destroyed, Massa cannot restart for this first session.
