Bottas recipient of the Bandini Trophy

Valtteri Bottas will be awarded the Bandini Trophy, which rewards remarkable performance in motorsport.

After spending four seasons with Williams, the Finnish pilot joined Mercedes as an express replacement for Nico Rosberg who retired at the end of 2016. Bottas delivered a solid first campaign for Brackley, symbolized by four pole positions and three victories.

Saturday May 5, he will drive the Mercedes W07 titled in 2016 from the central square of Faenza to the town of Brisighella where he will receive the 2018 Bandini Trophy. Bottas takes over from the team Ferrari.

Lorenzo Bandini was a former Italian pilot of Formula 1, author of a victory with Ferrari in 1964. He tragically lost his life following injuries and burns suffered at the 1967 Monaco Grand Prix. The trophy which bears his name was initiated in 1992.
