Full of hope on the eve of this Barcelona Grand Prix, Sébastien Bourdais was disillusioned this Friday during the free practice sessions. The pilot Toro Rosso takes stock, for RMC, which does not enlighten the Frenchman's mind before the two sessions this Saturday.
« During the first session, it didn't work too badly, I was quite confident. Then this afternoon we had some small problems, I lost a belt so we had to stop the first run on new tires. In the second run, we made a change that was planned but since we didn't really have a reading on the first, we made a mistake. The engineers lowered the car a little too much so it burned my behind. And then from there, it went into a tailspin because we didn't get the first reading. In the end we didn't do a run representative of the car's potential. We don?t really have an idea of our level of competitiveness. It?s a little disappointing because there is potential in the car. »
