There will be no French driver in Q3 qualifying in Brazil. Esteban Ocon (Force India) and Romain Grosjean (Haas) failed in 11th and 12th place in Q2 and could not Carlos Sainz (Renault), last driver qualified to play for pole position.
Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) was the fastest in 1'09″643 and ahead of the Mercedes W08 from Valtteri Bottas of 0″144 and Max Verstappen (Red Bull) by more than half a second. Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari), Daniel Ricciardo (Redbull), Fernando Alonso (McLaren), Felipe Massa (Williams), Nico Hulkenberg (Renault) and Sergio Pérez (Force India) moved into Q3.
