Canada – Q1: Racing Point eliminated

The Racing Points and Williams are the big losers of Q1 of the Canadian GP. Sergio Pérez (Racing Point) failed 5 hundredths behind the last qualifier Antonio Giovinazzi. The Mexican preceded Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo) and Lance stroll (Racing Point), while the Williams of George Russell and Robert Kubica once again bring up the rear.

The Ferrari were the fastest in this session. Sebastian Vettel established the benchmark in 1'11''2 at a pace which remains slower than that of EL3. The four-time world champion beat his teammate Charles Leclerc for 14 thousandths.

The Mercedes de Valtteri Bottas et Lewis Hamilton followed just behind even though the championship leader failed almost 3 tenths behind his teammate. Max Verstappen (Red Bull) completed the Top 5 ahead Nico Hulkenberg (Renault) Et les McLaren de Carlos Sainz Jr and Lando Norris. The Spaniard will be summoned to the commissioners for having obstructed Alexander albon (Toro Rosso). Daniel Ricciardo (Renault) and Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso) completed the Top 10.

Pierre Gasly (Red Bull) ranked 12th between Alexander Albon (Toro Rosso) and the Haas de Kevin Magnussen et Romain Grosjean.
