Here we are. The first qualifying session of the season has just started. At the end of the last tests, Red Bull seems above the rest, even if McLaren is in rhythm. Ferrari et Mercedes seem not to have yet shown the performance of their car. Lotus Renault might well surprise.
The drivers set off for a first 20-minute session (Q1), eliminating the eight slowest drivers. Same rule for the second session (Q2), which this time lasts 15 minutes. Finally, the last session (Q3) determines the first 10 places on the grid.
