Wheldon dies: Schumacher shocked

Like all the protagonists of motorsport, Michael Schumacher admits to having been shocked by the announcement of the death of Dan Wheldon.

“Each of us tries to convince ourselves that motorsport is so safe these days that no one should lose their life, writes the seven-time German world champion on his website. But ultimately, unfortunately, this is just wishful thinking. I heard this morning (yesterday morning, editor’s note), the news of this terrible accident which caused the death of Dan Wheldon, and this left me shocked and speechless. My thoughts today are with his family”.
