While the first free practice session for the European Grand Prix started at 10:00 a.m., the Valencian track is still dirty, confides Mike Gascoyne, technical director of Lotus, who explains that tire degradation is high. Cars are still rare on the track. In addition, the runway excursions are quite numerous but take place in clearance zones, therefore without seriousness.
