The stables making up the paddock of the F1 met at Suzuka to hammer out an agreement stipulating that all teams must have the same level of knowledge about the new Pirelli tires which will equip the single-seaters from next season. This agreement involves transparency of information that will be shared between all teams.

« When we entered into an agreement with Pirelli, we were happy with the transparency between the teams “, commented Monisha Kaltenborn, director of management at Sauber. “ We were not sure of the success of this approach because we had never experienced this type of situation in the past. » All teams will thus have the same information, and none will be advantaged or disadvantaged, as was the case when Bridgestone favored Ferrari in its fight against Michelin.
