United States – Q1: Sainz dominates, Ocon eliminated

Main opponent of Max Verstappen on this qualification due to the engine penalties taken by Charles Leclerc et Sergio Perez, Carlos Sainz set the best time in Q1 this Saturday in Austin. The Spaniard delayed his exit from the track compared to his competitors at the front, which allowed him to gain half a second from Leclerc and Verstappen, taking the best sectors 1 and 3.
