Timo Glock is experiencing a special German Grand Prix, with the departure of his official engineer, Francesco Nenci. The latter was replaced by Juan Pablo Ramirez. If, for the general public, this change is invisible, it is much less so for Timo Glock. The German driver also set the 15th time in the second free practice session on the Nürburgring.
