Nico Hulkenberg (Renault) missed Q3 of the Hungarian GP for 5 hundredths behind Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo). German precedes Toro Rosso byAlexander albon and Daniil Kvyat. Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo) and Kevin Magnussen (Haas) completed the ranking of the session.
Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) signed the new lap record in 1'15''548 with 2 hundredths ahead of Max Verstappen (Red Bull). Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) followed in 3rd place ahead of the Ferrari de Charles Leclerc et Sebastian Vettel. Romain Grosjean (Haas) set the 8th time.
