If Heikki Kovalainen was unable to take part in the Arctic Rally this weekend due to preparations for the racing season, Formula 1, the Finn will not be prevented by his team from lining up at the start of a rally. The newspaper Tunu Sanomat reports that no clause in Kovalainen?s contract prevents him from participating in various rallies. However, the Lotus driver decided not to participate in the Arctic Rally, won by Dani Sordo, in order to best prepare for his Formula 1 season.
