Tenth in qualifying, Vitaly Petrov finished fourteenth in the European Grand Prix, notably missing his start. A disappointment for the 2 GP2009 vice-champion.
“I am disappointed with my result, admits the Russian pilot. When you start 10th, your ambition is to at least finish in the same place. My problems started at the start, when I skated a lot and lost a lot of places. Then I tried to maintain a good pace. I tried to attack De La Rosa, but he had too high a top speed in a straight line and it is difficult to overtake here. So I couldn't get past it. As a beginner in F1, seeing the finish line is a good experience and we know what we have to do for the next races?
