Ekrem Sami, the marketing director at McLaren, announced that he would leave his position at the end of March after more than three decades spent with the Woking manufacturer, specifying that he was acting as he wished. His departure nevertheless seems linked to that of Ron Dennis a few months earlier.
“I don't mind the fact that it's a bit strange that I'm leaving McLaren, a company I've spent my entire career with. It's the right time for me. I plan to work in other disciplines after being immersed in the strange and wonderful world of F1 », he commented.
