Charles Leclerc will he receive an engine penalty in Montreal? This is the question at the start of the week after the Monegasque's second retirement of the season in Baku, which occurred last weekend. His engine which went up in smoke on the 21st lap of the race last Sunday in Azerbaijan will arrive at Maranello this Wednesday for in-depth analyses. As a reminder, Leclerc has already used two power units. On the other hand, he has already used the three authorized turbochargers. If he had to use a new one in Montreal, he would therefore receive a penalty.
Regarding the abandonment of Carlos Sainz in Baku, the hydraulic compounds failed on the car of Spanish were examined. A short-term repair will take place for the Montreal round, but Ferrari assures that it is working on a medium-long term solution.
