The sole manufacturer of Formula 1, Pirelli, has announced the sets of tires brought to the first three Grands Prix of the 2022 season:
The tire choices are in! One set of software must be saved for Q3: the drivers qualifying in the top 10 then have to return them. The Sakhir circuit will be covered by hard C1, medium C2 and soft C3 compounds. The notch will be shifted by one place for the Saudi round on the recent Jeddah track (hard C2, medium C3 and soft C4) while Albert Park and its largely redone tarmac will see a more offensive choice during qualifying ( soft C5 and hard C2-medium C3 in racing).
