The famous British brand takes a 50% share in the Team Bahrain Merida team, member of the UCI WorldTour. After the Indianapolis 500 and while perhaps waiting for a return to Le Mans, McLaren so go cycling.

The Woking group announced this Wednesday that it was becoming a partner of Team Bahrain Merida, which includes the Italian Vincenzo Nibali, winner of the 2014 Tour de France. Remember that the McLaren Group is more than 50% owned by the sovereign wealth fund. of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This will not be Woking's first foray into the cycling scene as the McLaren Applied Technologies department had previously collaborated with the British team ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

We hope for Carlos Sainz et Lando Norris that the next MCL34 will go a little faster than a racing bike…
