Valtteri Bottas was the fastest in the second part of qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. The Finn completes Q2 with the best time in 1'23″215 ahead of his teammate Lewis Hamilton, who is only 36 thousandths behind his teammate.
The Ferrari by Kimi Räikkönen and Sebastian Vettel follow at less than two tenths, ahead of the Red Bull de Daniel Ricciardo et Max Verstappen. Felipe Massa places his Williams in seventh position ahead of Haas VF17 of Romain Grosjean, And Toro Rosso of Kvyat and Sainz.
Sergio Pérez (Force India), Nico Hulkenberg (Renault), Fernando Alonso (McLaren) and Esteban Ocon (Force India) and Marcus Ericsson (Sauber) are eliminated after Q2.
