Si Mercedes offered himself yet another victory last weekend at the Mexican GP thanks to Lewis Hamilton and a good strategy, the star team is now preparing to face the Circuit of the Americas in Austin (Texas) this weekend where it was beaten by Ferrari et Red Bull last year.
The world champion team had been in trouble with its tires on the American track, but the executive director of Mercedes Motorsport Toto wolff appears more serene for this edition.
“We have a good record in Austin, but we had a tough weekend last year suffering with our tires. The W10s are softer on the tires than our 2018 car and we should have less of this problem this year”, said the Austrian.
Lewis Hamilton will only need an 8th place anyway to secure a 6th title.
