Monaco – Q1: Gasly is already leaving
Terrible blow for Pierre Gasly who does not make it through Q1 of the Monaco Grand Prix for the first time in his career. Trapped after the end of the red flag two minutes from the checkerboard, the Norman was unable to start his last lap. Forced to wait for his comrades to complete their attempt, the pilot Alpha Tauri fell in the rankings until finishing at 17th place.
Besides Pierre Gasly, Alexander albon, Lance stroll, Nicholas latifi et Guanyu-Zhou also took the door from Q1 in the streets of Monaco.
At the front of the peloton, Ferrari dominated Q1 with the best time for Charles Leclerc (1’12″569) in front Carlos Sainz and George Russell. Max Verstappen, who decided not to come out after the red flag, ranked 6th, 4 tenths from the reference.
