During the last day of testing in Jerez de la Frontera, Kazuki Nakajima set the best time in 1:17.494 ahead of Heikki Kovalainen. The Japanese completed 102 laps during which he continued the aerodynamic development of the FW 31, notably using a new rear wing and a new rear diffuser.

Nakajima simply set the best time of the week, putting into perspective the excellent performances recorded by the Brawn GP at the start of the week.

For his part, Kovalainen refined the settings of the MP4-24 and tested a new rear diffuser which seemed to be bearing fruit. Indeed, with a time of 1:17.946, the Finn reassures his team about the car's potential.

To find out more about everyone's real potential, we will have to wait for the first free practice sessions for the Australian Grand Prix on March 27?
