Victim of a mechanical problem (and reporting a loss of power) in EL3 this morning, George Russell (Williams) was only able to perform on four short laps in the final free practice session before qualifying.
The Grove team carried out its investigation and finally decided to change the battery, as well as the electronic control on the Briton's FW42. The protégé of Mercedes will be able to compete “normally” in the qualifications.
