Oscar Piastri at the wheel of theAlpine A110 Sastruga to Monaco

Alpine decided to spoil his reserve pilot Oscar piastri. The Australian will in fact take the wheel in the streets of Monaco in a Alpine A110, but not just any one. It is in fact the A110 Sastruga, the result of a collaboration between BWT Alpine F1 Team and a collective of artificial intelligence artists called Obvious. This “Art Car” is a direct nod to the brand’s glorious past in motor racing and to its roots which are obviously found in the Alps.

As a reminder, the Sastruga was unveiled in April at the modern and contemporary art fair Art Paris. Driving is scheduled for this Thursday around 12:30 p.m. Note that other touches of the work carried out by Obvious can be seen with BWT Alpine F1 Team during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, with art displays on the A522 and some differences inside the garage and team hospitality.

“The same weekend where we celebrate Jean Rédélé's hundredth birthday in Dieppe, we are very happy to see this wonderful creation taste for the first time on a Formula 1 circuit, enthuses Laurent Red, CEO ofAlpine. What could be more special than doing it here in Monaco, whose heart beats with passion for motorsport, just like our founder. Alpine always has an artistic and elegant side and we share this same artistic vision combining past and future, creativity and technology like Obvious. For Alpine, art is the perfect meeting point of elegance and technique. I can't wait to discover the car and the details that will accompany us to the Monaco Grand Prix. »
