Sergio Pérez received a penalty after the Bahrain GP for overtaking Brendon Hartley during the training tour “without having made any notable efforts subsequently for No. 28 to regain its position.” The Force India driver was initially scheduled to receive a ten-second stop-and-go penalty, a penalty transformed into a 30-second penalty at the end of the race. This does not change the result of the Mexican who finished out of the points in 12th place. The stewards decided not to impose penalty points on him.
