The Renault driver F1 Team made the headlines in the Spanish and Italian press at the end of last week. The Brazilian then expressed his bitterness at the preference and favoritism which Fernando Alonso demonstrated in the Franco-British team.
This Monday, Nelson Piquet Jr wishes to return, for the official website of the Renault F1 Team, to comments which, according to the team, were poorly translated by journalists: “I am surprised to see my comments distorted in this way by the press . I tried to be funny, to stick to the offbeat tone of the questions I was asked. I am very happy within the ING Renault F1 Team, I have no doubt of the support of the team. I also have very good relationships with Fernando (Alonso) and Flavio (Briatore). I am looking forward to running the next race with the aim of achieving the best possible result. »
