Williams Martini Racing has confirmed that an electrical problem was the cause of Brazilian Felipe Massa stopping on track during the second free practice session for the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.

“The car went into neutral mode and I couldn't select gears, comments Massa. I lost the opportunity to try the ultra-soft tires and do long stints. »

As performance manager Rob Smedley indicates, the problem will be easily resolved before the third running session tomorrow morning at 4 a.m. French time.
