Felipe Massa (Ferrari) had the best time in the first phase of the qualifying session, in 1:14??757. Mixed fortunes for Ferrari drivers since Fernando Alonso, who did not take part in the session, was logically one of the seven drivers eliminated in Q1. As since the start of the season, the other six drivers eliminated are those from teams that arrived this season in F1.
