Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) snatches pole from Jenson Button (McLaren) for only nine thousandths ahead with a time of 1:30:466. Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) takes 3rd place ahead of Felipe Massa (Ferrari), Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) and Mark Webber (Red Bull).
Michael Schumacher (Mercedes GP), Kamui Kobayashi (Sauber) and Lotus drivers-Renault GP chose not to participate in the last session to keep the sets of soft tires.
