Alongside the presentation of his car 2018 W09, Mercedes-AMG F1 has confirmed that George Russell and Pascal Wehrlein will share the role of reserve driver for the upcoming season.
A starter at Sauber F1 Team last year, Wehrlein was not renewed by the Swiss structure, now supported by Alfa Romeo, and will find the platoon of DTM with Mercedes three years after his coronation.
Geroge Russell, covered by the star brand, will compete in the FIA championship F2 within the ART Grand Prix team, after winning the GP3 Series with the French structure in 2017.
