Qualified in a solid 9th position, Carlos Sainz will have to move back three places on the starting grid for the Canadian Grand Prix for obstructing Alexander albon (Toro Rosso) during the first phase of the qualifying session on Saturday afternoon. The stewards also decided to award a penalty point to the Spanish driver for the maneuver, which however did not prevent the Thai from reaching Q2.
