Under investigation by race management after the finish, the 11th lap incident enters Lance stroll (Aston Martin) and Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri) turned to the Frenchman's advantage.
The Canadian was found guilty of leaving the track and overtaking Pierre Gasly. As a result, the Aston Martin driver received a 5-second penalty which had an impact on the final classification of the race.
Arriving 7th, Lance Stroll fell to 8th place which was good for Pierre Gasly who gained one position. In addition, the Canadian has one point removed from his license.
