To replace Esteban Ocon, left to find a starting place at Renault, Mercedes has placed its trust in a duo already present within the walls: Stoffel Vandoorne and Esteban Gutierrez will take turns as the 3rd driver of the Étoile.
The Belgian, former runner McLaren, defends the interests of Mercedes by Formula e, while the Mexican, seen in Grands Prix with Sauber and Haas, will continue to officiate have in the Brackley simulator.
