After a worry-free Q1, Q2 of the 24 Spa 2021 Hours started in a more chaotic manner. After seven minutes, German Tim Zimmermann lost control of his Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo at the top of Raidillon. The pilot, unharmed but clearly shocked, got out of the car on his own quite crumpled after a fairly violent impact with the pile of tires.
And here's why.
A nasty off at Raidillon for Zimmermann. He's out of the car and OK, but there's a bit of work to do to repair the barriers…#Spa24h 🇧🇪🎢 pic.twitter.com/8LYotI2Q8J

Quite logically, the race direction imposed the red flag while there were 8 minutes and 11 seconds remaining in this session.
An interruption which hardly helps the competitors who will have to start again on a fresher track and, above all, in increasingly stubborn darkness. The session will restart at 21:50 p.m.
