Alex Bowman forfeits Charlotte

Alex Bowman will miss a second consecutive race in NASCAR. Qualified for the play-offs, the Ally Racing driver suffered an accident in Texas and had already had to withdraw from the last round at Talladega. He will also be absent for the race held this weekend on the Charlotte (North Carolina) oval.
“As the preservation of my health is my priority, I will not return to competition this weekend during the NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, explains Alex Bowman on his social networks. I will continue my rehabilitation to make sure I can return to competition 100%. »
He will be replaced by Noah Gragson in the No. 48. “I appreciate Noah getting into the No. 48 Chevrolet once again and I will wholeheartedly support my team this weekend. Thank you all for your support during this time. It has not gone unnoticed and I am overwhelmed by your support. »
