Audi has revealed the 13 drivers who will defend its chances during the 50th edition of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.

Audi unveils its 13 drivers for the 24 Hours of Nürburgring

Audi has revealed the eight drivers who will defend its chances at the 24 of the Nürburgring, on May 28 and 29 in Germany. “We are well prepared for the anniversary of the Eifel Classic, says Chris Reinke, head of Audi Sport customer racing. For the 50th edition, we will aim for victory with strong driver combinations in two Audi Sport customer racing cars and additional R8 LMS privateer cars. We want to extend our position as the most successful manufacturer of the GT3 era in the biggest race in the world. » Audi actually won the event in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2019.

To further establish its domination of this race, the brand with the rings will field two high-level crews in its official cars. That of the Team Car Collection will be led by Chrisopher Haase, Nico Müller, Patric Niederhauser and René Rast. While that of Team Phoenix will be able to count on Robin Frijns, Kelvin van der Linde, Dries Vanthoor, Frédéric Vervisch.

In addition to these two quartets, Scherer Sport by Phoenix will bring two more R8 LMS and Lionspeed by Car Collection Motorsport two more Audi cars. With Mattia Drudi, Ricardo Feller, Christopher Mies, Frank Stippler and Markus Winkelhock, there are five additional Audi Sport drivers distributed among the private racing cars.
