BMW presents its new M4 GT4

BMW will offer from the 2023 season a new version of its M4 GT4, the original having been released in 2018. This new version will have the mission of being as prolific as the previous one. To achieve this, the latest key technologies from the production model were combined with a range of components from the BMW M4 GT3, whose first victory came at the start of the year at the 12 Hours of Mugello.

“We took on the challenge of developing a successor to the very successful first generation BMW M4 GT4. Using a wide range of customer feedback, our experienced development team and the new production car based on the sixth generation of the BMW M4, we have resulted in an all-new, faster, even more reliable and very emotional BMW M4 GT4 », explains Franciscus van Meel, CEO of BMW M.

The development of the GT4 car, based on the new BMW M4 series model (combined fuel consumption: 9,8 l/100 km according to WLTP; combined CO2 emissions: 224 – 223 g/km according to WLTP) , began in September 2020 with the first computer simulations. The new BMW M4 GT4 was developed from the beginning of 2021 and construction work on the first test car began last summer.
