Clint Bowyer has launched proceedings against HScott Motorsports demanding at least the sum (more than 2 million euros). The future replacement for Tony Stewart within Stewart-Haas Racing believes its team committed fraud and accuses team principal Harry Scott of using finances provided by Bowyer to pay off debts. The 2012 runner-up also complained to the North Carolina Superior Court that he had not received all the payments.

While the future of HScott Motorsports is up in the air, Clint Bowyer turns the page on his least prolific season of his career in Sprint Cup with a 27th place in the Drivers' standings and only 3 top tens on the clock.
