“With AMR, I achieved one of the greatest results of my entire career: winning the 24 2020 Hours of Le Mans was simply incredible, and I will never forget the sweet taste of this wonderful victory. For me, it is time to move on, looking towards the start of an exciting new chapter in my career. Many thanks to Aston Martin Racing: I wish you all the best for the future, and I look forward to seeing you in one of the many paddocks next year! » reacted Maxime Martin on Instagram.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Maxime for the enormous contribution he has made to the Vantage program », said Huw Tasker, head of Aston Martin Racing. “He was an integral part of the development of the Vantage and effectively gave the GT3 car its racing debut at the Nürburgring in 2018 alongside Darren Turner. He won the 24 2020 Hours of Le Mans with us and played a vital role in our 2020 Constructors' World Championship and almost won the drivers' title as well. We wish him good luck for the future. »

Currently 11th in the GTD category in IMSA, Maxime Martin will be entered in Petit Le Mans with the Canadian Roman De Angelis, the leader of the category and who could be crowned at the end of the race.
