Hungaroring – Race 2: Urrutia ahead of Huff. Ehrlacher 6th

On a circuit not known for its numerous overtaking possibilities, Santiago Urrutia had a rather quiet race. Starting in the lead, the Uruguayan managed to keep Robert Huff in his mirrors during the 25 minutes of the second event at the Hungaroring. The Briton still finished 3 tenths behind the leader while Mehdi Bennani's failed braking which brought out the safety car brought the two men closer together. On the last lap, the Cupra driver tried everything but it wasn't enough. Behind Santiago Urrutia and Robert Huff, Nestor Girolami completes the podium.

Many drivers were once again caught by track marshals for violating track limits. At the start of the race, while they were fighting at the back of the pack, Mehdi Bennani, Thed Björk and Dániel Nagy touched each other before Tom Coronel also hit the Hungarian who lost his wheel and was forced to go through the pits. . On the Tricolore side, Yann Ehrlacher performed well with 6th place while Nathanael Berthon resisted attacks from Mikel Azcona to finish 8th. Yvan Muller finished in 10th position in this race 2. The WCTR is now heading to Spain for the 4th round of the Championship on June 25 and 26.
