The French driver set the fastest time of the two days of testing which took place at Paul Ricard on Thursday and Friday. The official representative of Mercedes clocked a 1'52''960 in the No. 3 AKKA-ASP Mercedes-AMG GT88, which he shares with Raffaele Marciello and Daniel Juncadella.
He is 67 thousandths ahead of another French driver, Alexandre Cougnaud, at the wheel of the Audi R8 LMS of the Saintéloc team which he drives alongside Christopher Haase and Adrien Tambay.
The podium is completed by the Porsche 911 GT3 R du Dinamic Motorsport, pilotée par Matteo Cairoli et Christian Engelhart.
The test also included a trio of new teams who will join the championship this season. Allied-Racing was present with its Porsche, which will make a full program in the Pro-Am category. Iron Lynx will be aligned in Endurance Cup with two Ferrari, while Winward Racing will also contest the endurance championship with a Mercedes-AMG in the Silver Cup.
Honda was also present in preparation for its participation in this year's 24 Hours of Spa. McLaren was not on the track, but the brand will be on the grid for the entire campaign thanks to Jota Sport. The 2021 GT World Challenge Europe season is set to begin with an endurance round at Monza from April 16-18.
