If the United States of America has made known their desire to resume competition quickly, Nascar remains on standby during the coronavirus pandemic. While the schedule was suspended until Dover (Delaware) on May 3, organizers announced that the race in Martinsville (Virginia) on May 9 was also postponed.

“Our intention remains to compete in all 36 races, insists the officials, with a potential resumption of the competition without the public in May at an undetermined date and location. The health and safety of our participants, our employees, our public and our community remains our priority. We will continue to consult experts. »

The next event after Martinsville is the Coca Cola 600 in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 24.
