Mathys Jaubert named Junior Porsche Carrera Cup France

Ils étaient huit à briguer le soutien de Porsche France pour la saison 2023 en Porsche Carrera Cup France : Marlon Hernandez (Porsche Sprint Challenge France), Elliott Vayron (F4 France), Romain Andriolo (F4 France), Marius Fossard (Mitjet International), Sacha Maguet (Ultimate Cup Series), Alexis Garcin (Alpine Europa Cup), Paul Cauhaupé (Alpine Europa Cup) and Mathys Jaubert (Caterham Cup).

It was the latter who won following a selection process at Paul-Ricard (Var) on November 2 and 3. Mathys Jaubert's second attempt was the right one, since he had already tried his luck in 2020, at only 15 years old! Now aged 17, the driver from Salon-de-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône) has just been named Junior Porsche Carrera Cup France, with the hope of following in the footsteps of his predecessors on the prize list of the now famous selection (Florian Latorre, Marvin Klein, Hugo Chevalier, Alessandro Ghiretti).

« I am very proud and honored to have been selected because the level was very high! It is the result of hard work over several years and I am very happy that this time is the right one after my first attempt in 2020. I thank everyone from the organizing team who accompanied us, the Driving Koncept team who helped me a lot and the drivers I met along the way who gave me good advice. I am proud to join the Porsche fold and I hope to gain as much experience as possible in this new adventure in the Porsche Carrera Cup France. »

Mathys Jaubert previously distinguished himself in the Caterham Roadsport Series then in the Caterham 420R, with two crowns in quick succession in 2021 and 2022. This season, the young man also revealed himself in the Ligier European Series as a preamble to the 24 Hours of Le Mans (one pole position and two 2nd places).

In 2023, he will be able to count on personalized sporting support led by Patrick Pilet, but also on a scholarship of €40 excluding tax, a grant of Michelin tires, and sponsorship from a partner Porsche Center.
