Mike Rockenfeller joins Spire Motorsports for two rounds

Double winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans, Mike Rockenfeller will experience a new championship this weekend. The German driver will join Spire Motorsports in Nascar at Watkins Glen (August 21) and Charlotte Motor Speedway (October 9). The champion of DTM has already distinguished itself on the American scene by winning the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2010 with Action Express Racing.

« Since the start of my professional racing career in the early 2000s, I have always kept a close eye on NASCAR., explains Mike Rockenfeller. This new experience in Nascar will allow him to further expand his already extensive CV. “ I had the chance to race in LMP prototypes, in DTM and in GT, but now I am ready to make my name in NASCAR.
