It’s the end of a great series for Raffaele Marciello. The Italian-Swiss failed to secure a 4th consecutive pole in Q2 at Misano. It was the leader of the Sprint Cup, Dries Vanthoor (Team WRT), who set the best time in 1'30″942. Victorious yesterday in Race 1, the Belgian confirms the good form of the No. 32 Audi on the Italian track and takes the pole position point.
Raffaele Marciello (Akkodis ASP no. 89) will only start from the second row, in 4th place, beaten by the two Germans Christopher Haase (Tresor by Car Collection no. 11) and Christopher Mies (Team WRT no. 33). Audi therefore places three cars in the top 3 of this 2nd qualifying session.
In the Silver category, Ulysse de Pauw (AF Corse n°53) set the best time in the category and will start 6th on the starting grid. On the Pro-Am side, Dean MacDonald (Garage 59 n°188) placed his McLaren in 9th position overall with the best time in the category.
Finally, note the non-participation of two cars during this 2nd day of racing: the #25 Saintéloc of the Panis – Niederhauser crew and the #21 AF Corse of the Delacour – Sbirrazzuoli duo. The two GTs, damaged on Saturday during Race 1, were not repaired for Race 2.
Unfortunately we have lost the #21 Ferrari and the #25 Audi following the accident at the start of yesterday's race. https://t.co/693GFlxrZu
