Tiago Monteiro (Seat Leon TDI), won the first race at Portimao, venue for the fifth round of the WTCC. Starting from pole, the Portuguese won by beating the last two World Champions, Yvan Muller (Chevrolet Cruze) and Gabriele Tarquini (Chevrolet Cruze). Second, the Frenchman grabs three points from his most serious rival, Gabriele Tarquini.
