Jimmie Johnson crashed during the final free session at Michigan International Speedway. If the five-time champion of the discipline escaped without the slightest damage, the same cannot be said of his car. As a result, the Hendricks Motorsports driver was forced to change vehicles. As this happened after Qualifying, Johnson will have to start from last position in the race.
