Joey Loagno (Team Penske) takes his fifth victory of the season at Kansas Speedway and earns his ticket to the next round of the Chase. Kyle Larson (Chip Ganassi Racing) shines again by taking second place ahead of Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing), Martin Truex Jr (Furniture Row Racing) and Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway Racing). The race had some nasty surprises in store for some Chasers as drivers Hendrick Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt and Kasey Kahne all encountered problems, as did Brad Keselowski (Team Penske).
