Victim of a contact yesterday which took away all hope of victory, Ander Vilarino (Banco Santander Chevrolet SS), reigning champion of the Whelen Euro Series, set the record straight this Sunday by winning the second Elite 1 race on the Valencia route in Spain. He is ahead of another Spaniard Borja Garcia (Ford Autolix Competition Ford Mustang) and Bert Longin (PK Carsport Chevrolet SS), second in the first round yesterday. This is Vilarino’s 14th win in the Whelen Euro Series.
