Sur le rapide circuit du Slovakia Ring (Slovaquie), le neveu d’Yvan Muller (Hyundai) devance Pepe Oriola (Cupra) de 40 millièmes et Jean Karl Vernay (Audi) by 49 thousandths.
“I'm still learning the track because it's my first time here, explained Yann Ehrlacher. The circuit seems to suit the Honda well at the moment. The gaps are extremely tight in the top 10 while the Slovakia Ring is very long (5,9 km). » Indeed, the first 17 vehicles are separated by less than seven tenths!
Among the good surprises of the session, let's remember Fabrizio Giovanardi's sixth time (Alfa Romeo, +0″103), who is still chasing his first point of the season. All French people seem to be in on the action Aurélien Comte (Peugeot ), Aurélien Panis (Audi), Nathanaël Berthon (Audi), John Filippi (Cupra) and Yvan Muller (Hyundai) are grouped together in less than half a second.
